How does a Terrorist Taner Akçam get to be a Historian?

His major is sociology, and it is obvious from his interviews that he was more interested in terrorist activities than socialism during his studies. In a recent interview, he explains "how difficult it was to live in poverty in Germany, especially for people like him who were preparing to manage parts of a country". People who were preparing to manage parts of a country?!? For anybody without knowledge of Turkey's background, this sounds like a politician in refuge. However, Dev-Sol, the militant organization he is talking about, never had popular support in Turkey, not more than a few percent. If he was realistically considering "managing parts of a country", he is talking about using violent means to get there.

The day will come when all academic institutions who harbored this terrorist will be remembered for what they have done.
